Lucy Xie

Lucy Xie — founder of Tang Arts Dance Studio, and principal of its Irvine branch. She is also the president and chairwoman of the American Global Performing Arts Center, Dunhuang Dance art director at Hsi Lai Temple, and a council member of the Chinese American Dance Association.

Graduating from Beijing Dance Academy with a bachelor's in Chinese Dance and an M.F.A. in Choreography, Lucy was formerly the principal dancer at the Beijing Song and Dance Theatre. Her original works, The Nirvana Chronicles and A Dance Log of Chinese Elegance, gained significant acclaim in Southern California for their creativity and cultural impact.

Lucy actively promotes Chinese culture internationally. Her Dunhuang Dance artistry was featured in Disney’s American Born Chinese. Many of her students have won top awards in national dance competitions like Showstopper and KAR, excelling in both creativity and technical performance.
